Tobruk memorial baths was first built in 1950. It has had a significant role in the history of the Australian swim team. It started off with a visit from the Australian swim team in 1952 and was said to be one of the reasons behinds Australia’s swimming success over the next few years to come.

Since then we have had many of Australia’s swimming stars use our facilities.

A newer venture has came out of this beautiful pool, which is the Strand Swim School.

​

The Strand Swim School is a local family owned business with Luc and Nathan Senent the owners. Luc has now been working here for over 29 years and Nathan for 15.

​

Here at Strand Swim School we pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of teaching possible. With our fully qualified (swim ED or Auswim) staff.
